Judges 21:25 says “In those days there was no king in Israel; every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” God was to be their king, but they wanted to be like all the other nations and have a national king. At Christmas God sent His Son to be our savior and king. King Herod tried to kill Him; Herod didn’t want any rivals. Our problem is that we don’t want any rivals either. Do we choose to do what is right in our own eyes instead of what is right in the eyes of King Jesus.
