David writes, “Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.” Psalm 68:19. The word “daily” stands out to me. Our minds go instantly to Matthew 11:28 where Jesus invites all who are weary and burdened to come and receive rest from Him. I am reminded of the old hymn refrain: “Leave it there, leave it there, Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there; If you trust and never doubt, he will surely bring you out. Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.” God’s shoulders are big and strong.

I’ve never heard that song! I never learned to LEAVE the burden w/God…I usually continue to let the
worry/fear/concern “hassle” me… In the future, I’ll try to remember to LEAVE IT THERE!!!!!

It’s amazing how many great hymns I’m still discovering too! We used to sing Leave it There during our Sunday evening services or during prayer time Sunday mornings growing up.
