Priscilla has a knack for making homemade bread. Salt is one of the few ingredients, but it is touchy. No more salt than is used, you wouldn’t think it would be important. But without enough salt, the bread simply doesn’t taste good. Add a bit too much of it and the yeast doesn’t rise. Leviticus 2:13 commands the grain offerings to be salted. Matthew 5:13 says we are the salt of the earth. Colossians 4:6 tells us to season our conversations with salt. May God help add just enough grace and truth to improve everything we influence.
