We are traveling home from the Northwest District’s Winter Retreat in Vista, CA. One of the key take-a-ways for me came from Chris Brown. He said that we (pastors and churches) are either on a mission (to win on issues) or we are missional (to win people to Jesus). The devil will give us a very good mission if it keeps us from being missional. Just moments ago, I heard a John Maxwell maxim—the enemy of the great is often good. This, as Chris told us, is not new information; but it was packaged and presented well for me.
